The idea of starting the school was initiated as far back in 1998 by Mr. and Mrs. Matovu. It bore fruit with an opportunity of acquiring land in 1999. With only 70 x 120 piece of land which cost 600,000 shillings, the construction of the school kicked off in 2000.
On 3rd February 2003, the school gates were opened with three students.i.e Namiiro Suzan(who later graduated with B.SWASWA), Nakato Elsie Edith(lab technician Kira Health Center) and Nsubuga Henry. The school which started with three blocks having offices, dormitories and classes, later became a giant. By the end of the first term, the school had 197 students and by the end of the year, enrollment had shot up to 357 students.
It hasn’t been a walk in the park for the progress of the school as the challenges were many. These included: inadequate facilities, lack of running water, deem electricity, lack of laboratories and dormitories to mention but a few. However, it should be noted that, feeding of both staff and students was very good.
In spite of all the shortcomings, the pioneer staff and students exhibited a high degree of discipline, commitment, love and patience to this great institution.
